We are a group of regular guests and friends of the Zeppezauerhaus on the Untersberg mountain, who have already been strongly advocating for the keeping open and preservation of the hut, primarily through the corresponding petition.

To the relief and joy of many people, the building can now indeed remain open. The municipality of Grödig will, in principle, cover the necessary maintenance work for the time being.

We now want to offer all other (regular) guests and friends of the “Zeppi,” all those who appreciate the unique atmosphere, the relaxation, the hospitality and the cheerfulness up there – all of us – an opportunity to contribute to preserving these values. For this purpose, we have set up a donation account at Sparkasse Grödig.

All funds received there are used exclusively for contributions to necessary maintenance work on the Zeppezauerhaus. This primarily involves adapting the electrical system, insulating the technical room, maintaining the shingle facade, and renewing the sanitary facilities.

Funding is primarily provided for necessary purchases, materials, and support from specialist companies.

A large part of the work can and will be carried out on a voluntary basis. As part of an initial major effort in September, the aging wooden windows and shutters were already repaired.
